Valencian cuisine is Mediterranean. Its basic ingredients are vegetables, seafood, and meat.

The gastronomy of Valencia is based on products from its garden (vegetables, rice), highlighting rice dishes such as Valencian Paella and fideuà, as well as the refreshing drink of horchata.

Valencian Culture

Valencia is internationally known for Las Fallas, a local festival held in March, as well as for Valencian paella, traditional Valencian ceramics, crafts with traditional costumes, and the architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences, designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.

In 2012, Boston's Berklee College of Music opened a satellite campus at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, its first and only international campus outside the U.S.
